Little Havana Me Importa
In February 2017, The National Trust launched a campaign to preserve the Little Havana neighborhood in Miami, FL. Unfortunately, the dynamic community we all know and love is threatened by rampant development pressure, demolition of historic buildings, displacement of existing residents, and zoning changes that could forever impact its character and affordability. To announce the partnership and build awareness, materials were created that provided information and engaged the public to stand up for Little Havana and show their pride. The materials were fun, bright, and engaging, reflective of the neighborhood's spirit. In February 2018, the National Trust along with Heineken in a crowd funding campaign, raised funds to host an event that showcases the people and story of this diverse community. A local photographer and writer was chosen to capture the story and image. Materials were designed in Spanish and English.
